About Make Your Turn

How we got here

Make Your Turn started with a simple idea: mental health care shouldn't be this hard to access. Too many people spend weeks on waitlists, get bounced between providers, or find out their insurance doesn't cover the one clinic that had an opening. We wanted to build something different — a practice where getting help is straightforward and where the people providing care actually have the time and support to do it well.

What started as a small practice has grown into a team of 16 providers across 4 locations in Ohio and Michigan, plus virtual care for anyone in either state. We've grown because we keep saying yes to the things most practices avoid: accepting Medicaid, seeing kids and teens, offering Spravato for treatment-resistant depression, and keeping our waitlist as short as we can.

What we believe

We believe therapy and psychiatry work best when they work together. A lot of practices do one or the other. We do both under the same roof, which means your therapist and your prescriber can actually talk to each other. That matters more than most people realize.

We believe insurance should work for you, not against you. We accept most major insurance plans in Ohio and Michigan — including Medicaid — because cost shouldn't be the reason someone doesn't get help.

We believe in being honest about what treatment can and can't do. We're not going to promise you'll feel better in one session or that medication fixes everything. What we will do is show up, listen, give you a clear picture of your options, and adjust the plan when something isn't working.

Our team

Our providers include psychiatrists, psychiatric physician assistants, nurse practitioners, licensed counselors, and social workers. Some specialize in specific areas like trauma or ADHD.
